Tennis elbow is a painful condition of the elbow which can affect office workers as well as sporting individuals. Clinically known as lateral epicondylitis, tennis elbow is an inflammatory condition of the extensor tendons located in the outer elbow. Tennis elbow is caused by overuse of these muscles which move your wrist and hand. Gripping techniques used in racket sports, weight lifting and manual work can lead to this painful condition. Office workers who spend extended periods on a mouse or keyboard can also be affected.
